04.26.08 - Cast and Crew page has had more changes today. Give it a look to see the new character bios and a small exerp about the person playing them. A new blog entry was added yesterday. Only 1 month to go before production starts and lots to do. Keep spreading the word and praying for us.
04.19.08 - I added two new bios to the Cast and Crew page today. Also BIG NEWS! We have our new composer! His name is Kevin M. Walczyk and you can read all about him on the Cast and Crew page. His credentials are incredible. Praise God for this awesome opportunity. Just a month ago we had some serious concerns on our hands but God has been faithfully helping us jump every hurdle. :)
04.16.08 - For those of you who have been praying for us, thank you! Lots of things have been worked out recently that needed to be! A few of those things still aren't 100% for sure but I can see God's hand on the project more and more as we move forward, no matter how much is left to be done. 04.09.08 - We would like to welcome 2 more people to our crew. Jeremy Clayton who will be in charge of Production Sound, and Travis Herche, who will be filling the role of Assistant Director. Please keep in prayer the the remaining crew positions would be filled quickly! Also pray for the coming month of May and the remaining days of April, that the many things left that need to be done to prepare the film would be done quickly and with excellence. Satan is definetly on the attack with production coming soon, lots of things have been going on to try and ruin God's plan. Keep us in your prayers that God would protect everyone involved at this cruicial stage. If Satan is attacking...we must be doing something right!
03.30.08 - To help spread the word, an informational packet can be downloaded on the resources page. Use it to let people know about our film! Give it out to everyone you can, we need your support! You'll also notice a few graphical changes to the homepage. I hope you like them!
03.29.08 - A new blog entry was added! Expect updates to be a bit smaller for the next few weeks, lots of things to be done behind the scenes that need close attention. Keep us in your prayers, 2 months before principle photography! Pray for God's leading and blessings!
03.25.08 - Lots of neat little things going on right now. We have a few crew positions that are very close to being filled, we're getting there :) If you visit the Cast & Crew page you'll find a lot of roles filled also for the cast. Bios and Pictures will be added soon as well as a new Cast & Crew page once the lists are completed. A new entry was added to the blog as well with more indepth details. Just a shoutout to all of you out there, we need donations! I've said it many times until this point but we are in need. We are only short by a small amount, but its enough for it to be of some concern. We want this to be the best film it can possibly be and to do that the dollar amounts have to be adequate. Thanks in advance to all who are able to donate. If you have a second, leave us a comment also on the comments page. We're interested to see whos out there praying for our project. Leave us your location (state or country, whatever you'd like) if you can in the comment :) Also for those of you who are waiting for that video on the homepage to show up, its going to be a while. With all of the other things going on right now, something like that has been bumped down the priority list, understandable I hope. Don't worry you'll see something there eventually.
03.17.08 - Almost a week since the last update, sorry folks. Not a lot of stuff going on right now that we can show you. We are working on a lot of the paperwork required to get things planned for our shooting time. Even though we don't have all crew or funds, this stuff has to get done. Don't forget to check the prayer list for things that need your attention. This is another opportunity however to do a shoutout to the few online forums with supporters for our film. If your a Christian into filmmaking be sure to check out: OneWayFilms, CF.org, and CMForums. Lots of great people there and great community of Christ following filmmakers, actors, etc. Give them a look! Also don't forget to support some of the other Christian films in the works right now: No Greater Love, The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry, & Fireproof.
03.08.08 - We're hard at work getting the script completely dialed in. Some small things to change and strengthen. Overall things are incredible. I mentioned the last update that we had 1/3rd of last months attendence already, well we hit the half way mark already as of yesterday. Our average daily attendence has doubled, Praise God! The about page for the film has had an overhaul and includes a revised and more well thought out synopsis. It also includes the prayer list for those of you who feel led to pray for our project. Its a brief outline of the kinds of things that you can pray for. On a side note, Sherwood Pictures and their new film Fireproof has a new website online along with a brand new teaser trailer! By the way for you people out there that have asked me why I'm filming in the summer, here is a little taste of what our winters look like. No wonder our shooting window is so small! Big snow storm is hitting us right now. Bust out them shovels east coast, its a cold one out there!
03.05.08 - Hello everyone, the last few days have been such a blessing. We recieved our first encouraging comment from someone outside the USA the other day. Check out the comments section to read the encouraging message. Also we filled the minor role of Jerry Green today so thats good. On my way out of Subway today to get my lunch I got a random phone call from Tracy Goode from Sherwood Baptist Church. You might recognize him as one of the assistant coaches in Facing The Giants, or Bernie from Flywheel. The phone call was on a seperate matter, but at the end I had a quick moment to discuss what has been going on with our project and he gave some nice words of encouragement. Its amazing to know such awesome people know about our film and have visited the site. That phone call made my day! Also in the past 5 days we've gotten 1/3rd of last months attendence on this site ALREADY! Thats pretty incredible considering. Thanks for the support everyone! Its just incredible to know that we have this opportunity to spread the gospel and do it wth film. God is so good. Who am I to have such a blessed opportunity? Keep us in your prayers as we continue our pre-production duties. I hope to get a prayer page together soon to list the kinds of things all of you out there can pray for. Till next time!
03.01.08 - Spring is almost here! I'm not sure where you are in the world but we're in Western NY where cold is as common as breathing when the winter hits. I can't wait for everything to be green again. Anyways we have some great news! We officially have a composer for our film. Her name is Deborah Jensen from Ruther Glen, Virginia. Off topic for a moment, the new film Fireproof from Sherwood Pictures (makers of Facing The Giants & Flywheel) have a BTS video online here. Give it a look, God is going to really bless their film. 02.26.08 - Hey folks. I have posted a new Blog entry with some news and information about whats going on in the Pre-Production aspect of things. Give it a look. Also we are still looking for cast & crew, especially for the main two roles. Donations are also needed, funds are pretty low right now and we need some help. If you feel led please donate. 02.15.08 - TGIF! Hey guys, just letting you know there are some great things in the resources section finally. Wallpapers, Buddy Icons, and downloadable posters. Also I added a HUGE entry in the Blog getting you guys up to date on everything that is going on. If you want to know the BTS stuff or whats rolling around in that brain of mine with this film then give that a read. Its long but thats the breaks :) God Bless guys, this project is gonna be exausting but so worth it. Getting this started and moving makes me realize just how awesome God is when you surrender a project to him and watch him Bless it. He's moving pretty fast already, very anxious to see what He's going to do in the coming months.
02.13.08 - Some great things going on lately, lots to think about and keep track of :/ I have gotten more emails with people interested and I'm finally beginning to get a real schedule together. We are also searching for alternate ways of raising funds besides the personal donated amounts so thats keeping us busy. There is some neat things coming soon. Also if you didn't know the official Standing Firm Blog is now active! By the way if you aren't aware already there is a new Christian film being released on the 15th. It's Dave Christiano's new film Me & You, Us, Forever. Also coming out later in Aug. if you didn't know is Sherwood Pictures new film Fireproof. One last film to keep your eye on is Rich Christiano's new film also coming this summer, The Secrets of Johnathan Sperry. I had the pleasure of being an extra in this film last summer, it was a fun experience. Give it a look!
02.08.08 - Major site overhaul today. The site has a new layout so give it a look. The pages were getting crowded so now was the time to split them apart. There are loads of new content coming in the next few weeks. A blog, our first webisode, resources section, and a few other things. Also added today was our comment page. Drop us a word of encouragement or support when you can. God bless guys, thanks for all the support you've shown.
02.06.08 - I added an area of the site today to Sign-Up for updates. You can add your email to our list to recieve periodical updates on our production, our website, and everything in between. Also instructions on how to audition we're added.
02.05.08 - We have recieved over 1300 visits to this site in just over 2 weeks! Praise God! It's amazing to see the blessings pouring in over just these past 14 or so days. I have had some pretty incredible people contacting me after viewing this site and the amount of emails in my inbox has quadrupled. Thank you all for your interest and support. I have a few people interested in being on crew for this project that has me a bit excited (not a strong enough word I'm afraid). We'll see where God takes us. On another note we have an official starting date for shooting, May 30th, 2008. That means I have 4 solid months to get Pre-Prod completed. We will be putting up a new page on the site soon called the "Prayer Chart." You'll be able to contact a special email and signup for a time of day to pray for the films production. Be sure to check back for more updates soon.
02.01.08 - The site seems to be liked by everyone so I'm glad. Today I updated the Cast list with 2 filled in positions and we have decided to alter the last names of a few characters. Some awesome stuff has been happening only in the last 2 days or so. God is really moving quickly to bring people on board for this film. I'll share that info as it becomes official. Also there is now a FAQ page up. It is small for now but will grow as more things are added to the site I'm sure and I get more questions by email. Thanks to all who have been spreading the site around!
01.30.08 - StandingFirmMovie.com is officially up! I moved the page from the PraisePictures website earlier today and I couldn't be happier with the result. I'm digging the design that I came up with. Enjoy. :)
01.27.08 - More site updates! Lots of new content and info being added everyday. A lot has happened in the last week. The site is beginning to generate exposure and I've had a few emails from people who are looking to be involved. Very exciting stuff seeing this coming all together, God is so good.
