Where are we now?

We get asked all the time, "when will the film be done?" That is 1 of many questions we get. We recently posted a blog entry explaining the current status of the film for all of those out there waiting on a release. Be sure to check it out, it should answer some questions you may have.

A Message From The Director, Kyle Prohaska
Hello everyone, thanks for signing up for our email newsletter! It's been a long and difficult process creating this film, not just for me, but for everyone involved. There are always changes happening in our lives, big and small. God has called me out to Los Angeles to a job at a local production company. This doesn't change things for the film, it will continue along as usual. I hope being out in Los Angeles means meeting lots of new people, people who will be a light to me not just personally but from a business point of view. God has brought a lot to the table in the last few years. Our films website has been circulating around the internet quite a bit and all the hard work of doing the grassroots marketing here with these emails, on Facebook, online Web Forums, etc. seems to be paying off. I hope all of you that have stayed with us so long will continue to pray for this production and the future of Praise Pictures. There is so much I have to be thankful for. I want to thank everyone out there for being a beacon for me when things have been their darkest, and an encouragement when I was prone to failure. You all mean a lot to me, whether I have met most of you or not (many I have not). It never ceases to amaze me the support and kindness shown to others when God is in the formula. Whether all of you know it or not, you have made an impact on my life in a profound way. Some of the messages of encouragement I've received have moved me to tears. My greatest hope is that the film might impact you and your famlies as hard and as lasting as you have me. We have much to do to complete this film, but with your support and Gods leading, we will get there!

God Bless,
Kyle Prohaska
Writer/Director

ChristianFilmTrailers.com Explodes with Traffic!
Praise Pictures is doing a lot more than Standing Firm! Not only are we providing a place for filmmaking articles, reviews, interviews, etc. for the Christian filmmaker and interested parties, but we have started a new website dedicated to doing one thing...spreading the word about other Christian films. Why is this site different? Think of it as the Apple Trailers of the Christian film world. Here you will find the trailers for the latest and upcoming Christian film releases whether it be in theaters or on video. The site has gathered 14,000 visits so far this month and growing by the thousands everyday! If your a filmmaker, take advantage of this awesome opportunity to spread the word about your film!

LifeofKyle.com (shameless plug)
Director of Standing Firm, Kyle Prohaska has started a personal blog. News, Journal, Movie Reviews, etc. Things unrelated to Praise Pictures or the film itself. You might find some quirky, enjoyable writing there. For those of you looking for an extra peak into the creation of the film (especially moving into Post-Production), then be sure ot keep an eye on this blog as it will serve as a more personal perspective on making the film and not just business related.

Prayer Requests
There is much that needs prayer for our project. Little details and such that are just as important as anything else. Please pray for the following:

1) Completion of the film to a quality honoring to the Lord.
2) Bill Ebel and his work on the film.
3) Any remaining shots or reshoots that may be left
4) ADR, setting it up and completing it.
5) Any funds needed to complete what is left in Post-Production would be provided and quickly.
6) All involved with the film are protected spiritually and physically.
7) The word would be spread far and wide about the film and its message.
8) Distribution for the film would be found, and thousands would be reached for Christ.
9) Future story ideas from the Lord for our next project.
10) Possible entry into the San Antonio Independant Christian Film Festival in January next year.
